Rabies Awareness Virtual Run 🏃🏾♀️siapa nak join?

- Running period: 20 Sept - 1 Oct 2021
- Complete 5km per week, i.e. 2 weeks = 10km (doable right ??)
Cause this is a virtual run, how do you submit results ?
🐾 All results must be synced/ submitted within 72 hours after the end of the activity, and by 23:59 at the end of the week, via the website.
🐾 Each runner’s submission of results must have the following info: distance, duration, pace, date & time, running route if you’re running outdoors.
🐾 Participants must complete and sync the specified mileage every week during the Running/Challenge period.
🐾 Participants should post at least 1 social media post per week about the Rabies Awareness Virtual Run campaign with the hashtags #BeAResponsiblePetOwner and #WorldRabiesdaySarawak
🐾 Participants must ensure that the activities which are submitted/synced to the website are active outdoor activities e.g. active walking/running/hiking activities only. No passive activity tracked over any period of time will be accepted.
What do you get from this?
🐾 All Participants who have successfully completed the Event will be awarded an e-certificate & a medal
🐾 Participants who haven’t completed the Event in line with the T&Cs won’t get an E-Certificate.
🐾 50 pieces of limited edition T-shirts will be given away to the first 50 registrants

I admit this is not an easy one since it has been quite a long time since my last race, and I struggle to tune my body to ‘racing’ mode. Though I was expecting more with the time, as first race since 555 days, it signals a new drive for racing with good competitors again and run even harder. Indeed, this is the reason why I tried my best keeping both work and training in prime sharp during lockdown. The lockdown will be over eventually, then all racers will come forth and release the long held energy. The race would be hard, but witnessing the performance of others is definitely a great chance to learn and to prove hard training is never wasted 🎯 so #BePrepared 💪🏽
Great thanks for the organizer HKAAA , which worked extra hard to prepare a race under Covid, and those who cheered for the runners under their masks in this hot early morning. Let us all cherish this moment and #StayHungryAndAmbitious 🔥

AM: 10km + 1000 Skips + 40 Push Up
Mid PM: 8 X 36F at 80 bpm, R2:15', +500 Skips + 40 Push Up
PM: 7 X 36F at 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 90, 85 bpm, R2:15' + 40 Push Up
Distance: 10KM ➡️
Elevation Gained: 1.635KM ⬆️
Skipping: 1,500
Push Ups: 120
*Great to have @mitocepsmalaysia and @veganventures4u on providing the Mitoceps and Plant Based Mylk (Plenish+, Mighty Pea, Sproud) for me to replenish prior and after the run to promote recovery especially one doing triple sessions.
Time for a 30 min reading before going to bed.

Traditional Muay Thai training in Bangkok, Thailand is the most brutal workout I have ever experienced!
Thank you so much to Michael Garraffo for sharing his insights of what life is like as a Muay Thai Fighter training in Thailand.
Welcome back to my Muay Thai Training Camp in Bangkok, adventure travel series!
This time in local Muay Thai bangkok gym, Sityodtong MTM we continued to workout along side the fighters. Partaking in brutal early morning run training, running 10km and 12km in the same day in a nearby Bangkok nature park.
We also got to increase the intensity of our Muay Thai workout, doing sparring, pad work, bag work and other gym circuits to help with fitness and Muay Thai fitness.
This experience of working out in a Bangkok Muay Thai gym has been unbelievable so far and as a travel experience in Thailand it is a must try for travellers in Thailand.
In this adventure travel video I also was very fortunate to sit down with one of the professional fighters training in this Thai gym. His name is Michael Garraffo and his an incredible professional Muay Thai fighting in Thailand.
It was a real honor to talk to him about his life as a fighter in Thailand and I think he shared some amazing insights into the life of a professional Muay Thai fighter.

My third time in Sapa and second time running the 10k mountain race. Last year I did not sign up for the run because of ACL injury. Having no idea how tough the trail was, I followed my friends to take pictures of them and ended up crawling through the whole thing on my own, legs went numb. This year I am back to officially complete my run and set my new goals for VMM 2017.
Our deepest thanks to the organizers and the VMM crew for making everything safe and convenient for the runners and for always reminding us that we are doing this for a good cause. To me running is more than just a physical activity, I am proud to have finished the race 8 months post knee operation and motivated to always challenge my limits and getting stronger everyday - mind, body and soul.

Nếu bỏ qua sự buồn và hụt hẫng khi thấy cảnh thị trấn Sapa biến thành công trường khổng lồ, chuyến đi năm nay của Phương và các bạn không thể tuyệt vời hơn. Đúng giờ này hai tuần trước, cả nhóm vừa rời ga Trần Quý Cáp, nằm giường tầng nói 1000 câu chuyện trên chuyến tàu đêm.
VMM năm ngoái, với đôi chân đi còn mỏi đừng nói đến chạy, Phương theo chân các bạn chụp ảnh, "bị lừa" bởi đoạn dốc đầu tiên rất dễ đi để rồi mon men trèo đèo lội suối 10 kilomet một mình trong điều kiện bùn lầy trơn trượt. Năm nay để kỷ niệm đôi chân đã trộm vía hồi lại được chút chút 8 tháng sau mổ, quyết tâm cùng chạy với các bạn một lần nữa được ngắm cảnh ruộng bậc thang mùa gặt và lấy được huy chương Finisher.
Ngoài việc các runners được vượt qua bản thân, giao lưu gặp gỡ, ngắm cảnh đẹp, hiểu về văn hóa địa phương..., một phần số tiền đăng ký của mỗi vận động viên sẽ được đóng góp trở lại cho cộng đồng và môi trường địa phương. Đây là điều làm mình cảm thấy có ý nghĩa nhất khi tham gia VMM.
Bọn mình đều hoàn thành chặng đường, với người về đầu tiên của nhóm chạy mất 1 giờ 20 phút, xếp thứ 55/406 và người chốt đoàn là mình, 2 giờ 13 phút xếp hạng 233/406 finishers (không tính những runners dừng cuộc sớm).
Chặng 10km so với các chặng khác (21, 42, 70, 100 km) như kiểu là người ta đi bộ một vòng Hồ Gươm thôi ạ, nhưng đối với những người không có kinh nghiệm chạy địa hình tự nhiên như bọn mình thì không phải là dễ dàng. Hẹn gặp Vietnam Mountain Marathon 2017 với half marathon đầu tiên của nhóm.
